I have had the pleasure of knowing Dr. Qadeer Ahmed for about 15 years now, initially as a class-fellow and then as his co-author and fellow researcher in a number of quality research works which includes NSF proposal writing, IEEE Transactions, and research collaboration with CAR Group at the Ohio State University. We developed a novel median-based expectation operator for capturing dynamics of system for the health monitoring of lithium ion battery systems at cell level. This was followed by developing another novel approach to calculate current-split estimation in a battery. pack. Both works were published in 2 IEEE Transactions on Transportation Electrifications and a prestigious American Control Conference (ACC).
