- Course Description:Â This is an undergraduate course covering topics on power generation and transmission, the layout of common electrical power generation plants, the main components and characteristics of thermal power plants, the power transmission process from generation to distribution, expressions for resistance, inductance, and capacitance of high-voltage power transmission lines, and determine the equivalent circuit of a three-phase transmission line.
