- Course Description:Â This is an undergraduate course. It covers the design thinking methodology to identify and address engineering problems. It includes solid modeling, rapid prototyping, understanding end users, their unarticulated needs, and creating alternative solutions. It focuses on creativity, identify potential solutions, and innovation of new products and work processes. Students applied design methodologies and innovation tools on an engineering technology problem, built and tested it to gain the spirt and the initiative of the design thinking course. Students are able to communicate effectively and to work well on teams. Problems and solutions are examined from societal, cultural, and ethical perspectives.
